17 Dust Away

隨 Suí ¦||¦¦|

Dust away earth apart,
clear and scrape,
dirt’s no good for eating.

Dust away earth apart,
reveal a spot.
Reveal a dot of mud.
Reveal a trickle,
dampness in the earth.

Hope beneath the dry.

Paw, dig deep.
Snout, sniff green.
Spring, spurt forth.

Gurgle.
Fin fin fin dives in.
Tail turns rudder.
Wing wing says:
Set me free.

Fin scoops sludge.
Muddy water.
Hope springs eterne.
Fly me to the moon.

Moon.
We’re turning right.
Deeper deeper, claw.
Deeper
under
over
out.

Hope springs within.
Tap it up.
Ford the dam.

No gush here
but deeper deeper
dig
scrape
claw
paw
dust
the hole.
