I think I think of you too much. I think
of you, your lips and tongue, your throat, I dwell
too much on hands and fingers, how they’d link
and twine and grip and tremble, how they’d tell
me what they want. I think of breath: Gasps and
little laughs and exhalations, almost
sighs or moans but not, not yet. I think of sand
and silences, of air gone cold, the ghost
left by your silhouette on half-closed eyes
that wander to the sea, then back. I cling.

I think too much of skirts around your thighs.
I think too much of roses I would bring,
of thorns, of shoulders I would like to bite,
my teeth full of hunger, desire and spite.
